imaging consortium for drug development
The Imaging Consortium for Drug Development (ICD) is a collaborative research effort between academia and pharmaceutical companies who are developing novel drugs to treat central nervous system (CNS) disorders, initially focusing on pain and analgesia.
Aims
- To conduct basic and applied research activities, both preclinical and clinical in order
to lead to research advances that will facilitate the development of useful pharmaceutical
products, for the treatment of pain and other disorders.
- To define standards that may be used in clinical trials for evaluating novel
analgesics
- To establish an fMRI based database for human and animal imaging of analgesics and disease states.
